ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Truck Driver Training
Prepare for a career in the transportation industry with comprehensive training designed to develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence required for professional commercial driving. Students receive instruction from experienced, government-certified, ICBC-approved driving instructors through a combination of classroom learning and hands-on, behind-the-wheel training.
The program covers vehicle operation, defensive driving techniques, driver awareness, judgment, adaptability, and industry safety standards. Students also complete Air Brake training, including both theoretical and practical assessments, and receive study materials to help prepare for commercial driver licensing examinations. Training reflects current transportation regulations and road safety practices, ensuring graduates are well-prepared for employment in the trucking industry.
Class 1 MELT:
Truck training under realistic conditions during the day and night, in the city, and on highways, under various challenging conditions.
Class 2:
Practical training is scheduled in two-hour lessons, using an air-brake equipped automatic transmission bus.
Class 3:
Mixed urban and rural driving, vehicle inspection, and air brake training. Receive the training you need to continue to improve your skills for the trucking industry.
