ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Healthcare Assistant at Seabird College
The Healthcare Assistant program prepares students for entry-level care work in long-term care facilities, assisted living, and home and community settings. Classes blend foundational knowledge with hands-on practice in lab and clinical settings, taught by instructors with current experience in BC’s care system.
Graduates leave the program eligible to register with the BC Care Aide and Community Health Worker Registry, opening the door to employment across the province. Indigenous and self-identifying Indigenous learners benefit from cultural support, Elder presence, and a learning environment grounded in care for the whole person.
