The 28-week Welding Foundations Program provides the essential skills and knowledge needed to begin a career in the welding trade. As an entry-level program, it prepares students for employment in the construction, manufacturing, fabrication, and metalworking industries through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on training.
Students develop proficiency in a variety of welding processes, including Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG), and Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW). Training focuses on the fabrication, construction, erection, repair, and maintenance of steel and aluminum components used in plate and structural applications.
