Licensed Practical Nurses in BC provide nursing services to patients and their families across the lifespan in a variety of hospital, community, residential and home care environments working as an integral part of the health team in collaboration with Physicians, RNs and RPNs. 

The 18-month Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Program prepares students for a rewarding career providing compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in a variety of healthcare settings. Through a combination of classroom instruction, laboratory practice, simulation, and supervised clinical experiences, students develop the knowledge, skills, and professional competencies required to support the health and well-being of individuals across the lifespan. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a variety of healthcare settings. LPNs assess and monitor patients, assist with personal care and activities of daily living, administer medications, document and report on patient progress, and collaborate with physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals. They also educate patients and families on health-related matters, advocate for client needs, and support rehabilitation and recovery, playing a vital role in promoting positive health outcomes.
